Position Summary

The individual will be responsible for the safe handling of small to large components and materials (sheet metal, structure) using a forklift. They will also load, unload, transport and store the goods using a forklift, overhead crane, pallet truck or hand truck.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Safely carry out and transport components and materials to the various required departments using a forklift (6,500 lb propane), an overhead crane, a pallet jack, or a hand truck.
  • Inspect the components & materials received using the plans, BOM, MOC, receipt slip and other relevant documents
  • Identify the components & materials received
  • Keep the Reception area safe and clean (cutting and dismantling wooden pallets, preparation for recycling, etc.)
  • Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and handle equipment and materials
  • Bundle, wrap or band material for shipment
  • Communicate with supply and quality any non-compliant delivery and participate in the development of the non-compliance report (quarantine area)
  • Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure accurate inventory
  • Participate to inventory/material counts
  • Participate when required in the loading of units
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience

Computer Skills: ERP system and Microsoft office experience (an asset)

Certificates & Licenses: Forklift license required and overhead crane license (an asset)
