Overview

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator ensures safe and efficient operation of forklifts and may perform order filler or checker duties. The position involves operating sit-down and/or clamp forklifts.

Responsibilities

1. Stack and store merchandise using forklifts or clamp equipment.
2. Safely unload inbound shipments and move products to storage.
3. Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy.
4. Operate equipment safely and maintain records for inventory control.
5. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
6. Report safety concerns promptly.
7. Use RF scanning equipment and complete inspection forms prior to operation.
8. Possess basic safety knowledge and general computer skills, including Excel.
9. Maintain proper stock rotation and report inventory discrepancies.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
2. At least 3 months of forklift or warehouse equipment experience.
3. Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in variable environments and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
5. Must obtain NFI forklift certification.
6. Attention to detail, customer service skills, and basic math skills.
