Job Description

1. Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, assign and direct workers to meet production volume, cost, quality, and delivery goals.
2. Assist in maximizing team efficiency and productivity.
3. Encourage optimal use of equipment and facilities, ensuring the work group has necessary resources.
4. Collaborate with Supervisor and team to develop plans to fulfill customer orders and update the team on relevant information.
5. Perform quality control inspections of own work and that of coworkers.
6. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping practices.
7. Keep work area, equipment, and supplies organized and tidy.
8. Assist in training team members, identify training needs, and provide technical assistance and coaching.
9. Support the development of team members in process, team dynamics, quality tools, and problem-solving techniques.
10. Guide the team towards continuous improvement in quality and productivity, and communicate organizational changes as needed.
11. Build rapport with other departments and coordinate material flow and communication.
12. Refer non-routine problems to Supervisor.
13. Manage material movement and loading using industrial trucks or hoists.
14. Work with planners to distribute workload and resolve on-floor issues.
15. Assist with final quality checks and support other departments as needed.

Shift

• 1st Shift: approximately 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior forklift experience preferred.
