Stand Up (Only) Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the Department Supervisor, assign and direct workers to meet production goals regarding volume, cost, and quality.
• Enhance team efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure optimal use of equipment and resources, assisting the team in resource allocation.
• Collaborate with the Supervisor and team to plan and fulfill customer orders, updating the team on relevant information.
• Perform quality inspections of own work and that of coworkers during operations.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping practices.
• Keep work areas, equipment, and supplies organized and clean, encouraging the same among coworkers.
• Assist in training team members, identify training needs, and provide technical guidance.
• Support team development in processes, teamwork, quality tools, and problem-solving techniques.
• Guide the team towards continuous improvement and adapt to organizational changes as directed.
• Coordinate with other departments and build rapport for successful operations.
• Report unusual conditions or issues to the Supervisor.
• Handle materials transfer and coordinate flow with other departments.
• Operate industrial trucks or hoists for loading and moving materials.
• Work with planners to distribute daily workload and resolve on-floor issues.
• Assist with final quality control and support other departments as needed.

Shift Details:

• 1st Shift: approximately 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Thursday.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior forklift experience preferred.
