Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator for a temp-to-hire role in Elgin, IL. The position offers overtime on both 1st and 2nd shifts in a modern warehouse environment.

You will operate forklifts to unload/load trucks, move materials, and use a RF scanner to pick, pack, and track inventory. Safety footwear is required and the work is on-site.

Work Environment

The warehouse operates multiple shifts, including a 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with overtime that may be mandatory when business needs require it. The facility is a clean, lean manufacturing and warehouse environment, with operations split into distinct departments. The role is based in a new offsite warehouse that supports cable solutions production. The building is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable working temperature year-round. Team members use pallet jacks, iPhone-based RF scanners, and standard warehouse equipment to perform daily tasks. An on-site cafeteria offers subsidized food options, along with refrigerators and microwaves for those who bring meals from home. Protective footwear such as steel-toe or composite-toe shoes is required while working in the warehouse.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
