Job summary

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure material availability for machine operators and to move finished products in the shipping area. The role requires strict safety practices, PPE usage, and adherence to quality policies.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic English, and basic math with at least six months of related experience. A forklift certificate and hazardous material knowledge are preferred. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or greater.
• Read, write, and speak basic English.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Forklift Driver Certificate.
• Understand specifications and labels associated with hazardous material.
• Minimum six months’ experience in production, construction, warehouse, or similar work environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE.
• Understand and practice Trojan Battery Quality Policies.
• Ensure machine operator have required materials always.
• Meet suppliers to receive and verify materials meet order quantity.
• Remove scrap and hazardous recyclable waste to reclamation area and prepare paperwork.
• Ensure re-orders are timely, notify supervisor of shortages.
• Move DUF batteries from racks to formation.
• Label hazardous waste and move into satellite area.
• Ensure labeling and weight restrictions are met.
• Follow work Instructions and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene.
• Load and unload batteries, materials and supplies onto and off trucks, within warehouse, assembly and production areas.
• Available for various shifts, and overtime.

Position Overview

Forklift Operator requires an individual with a positive attitude and ability to work independently with minimum direction. Forklift Operator will be working to make sure that machine operators have the materials they need to produce our world class batteries as well and moving finishing product onto and off trucks in the shipping area.

Salary Range: $23.00-25.00
