Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator for a large distribution warehouse in Bethlehem, PA. The role involves operating stand-up forklifts, loading/unloading trucks, and moving pallets while ensuring accuracy and GMP/SOP compliance for FDA-regulated products.
Responsibilities include RF scanner usage, inventory tasks, and maintaining safety standards. The position offers 12-hour shift options and a contract-to-hire path with opportunities for progression.
This role operates stand-up forklifts in a large distribution warehouse, handling inbound and outbound shipments, loading and unloading trucks, and moving full pallets to storage locations. You focus on accuracy and quality while working with FDA-regulated products, ensuring that all activities follow established procedures and standards.
Operate stand-up forklifts, including Crown stand-up and high-reach trucks, to safely move, load, and unload pallets and materials.
Perform inbound and outbound tasks, including shipping and receiving, to support warehouse operations.
Load and unload trucks efficiently while protecting product integrity and following all safety guidelines.
Pick full pallets and dedicated case orders, then place product into appropriate storage locations.
Use RF scanners and basic computer systems to perform inventory transactions, locate product, and confirm orders.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to handle FDA-regulated products correctly.
Prioritize quality over quantity by carefully checking orders, identifying mistakes, and correcting errors before they leave the facility.
Perform basic math to verify counts, confirm quantities, and ensure accurate inventory records.
Use electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move product safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse safety standards.
Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping schedules.
Support inventory control activities by assisting with stock checks, cycle counts, and product location verification.
Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts, including Crown stand-up and high-reach trucks.
Experience loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving environment.
Ability to use RF scanners and basic computer systems to perform inventory and order-related tasks.
Strong attention to detail, especially when working with FDA-regulated products and documented procedures.
Ability to follow and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) once trained.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily warehouse activities.
Stable and consistent work history demonstrating reliability and strong attendance.
Basic math skills to verify quantities, counts, and inventory accuracy.
Comfort working with outbound, inbound, warehouse, shipping, and receiving tasks.
Ability to work assigned shifts, including 12-hour shifts and every other Wednesday, as needed.
Familiarity with GMPs and SOPs is a plus.
SAP or other inventory management system experience is a plus.
Experience with electric pallet jacks (EPJ) and order selecting is beneficial.
Experience as a dedicated case picker or order selector is an advantage.
Experience in large distribution centers or semi-climate-controlled warehouses is helpful.

You work in a large, modern distribution hub of approximately 500,000 square feet with around 40 employees. The facility is semi-climate controlled and brand new, with air conditioning in the summer and cooler conditions in the winter to keep products at the required temperature. The site handles chocolate-related products such as roasted beans, chocolate liquor, powders, and cocoa butter. Multiple shift options are available, including day and night shifts. Typical day shifts run 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with every other Wednesday, or 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with every other Wednesday. Night shifts include 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with every other Wednesday, or 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with every other Wednesday. There is also a Sunday through Thursday schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. You work with stand-up forklifts, high-reach trucks, RF scanners, and electric pallet jacks in a structured warehouse environment that emphasizes safety, product quality, and adherence to regulated handling procedures.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
