Responsibilities

• Move product materials around production floor.
• Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveries.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
• Unload product materials from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Adhere to documented policies and procedures defining safe operation and safety concerns.
• Complete required documentation and daily vehicle checklists.
• Identify problems with job-related equipment or vehicles.
• Ensure material or finished product is delivered to the destination on time without damage.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and perform daily equipment checks.
• Maintain vehicle appearance, including cleaning and painting when required.
• Identify potential or existing non-conforming conditions or material.
• Collect bills of lading and verify quantities on incoming trucks.
• Support procedures and work instructions including food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE.

Reports to: Plant Manager

Conditions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Move product materials around production floor.
• Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveries.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
• Unload product materials from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Adhere to documented policies and procedures defining safe and proper operation of vehicle, as well as the safety concerns of people, product, materials and facilities.
• Accurately complete required documentation as well as daily checklists for vehicle operation characteristics.
• Identify problems with job related equipment or vehicles.
• Ensure that material or finished product is delivered to the required destination, within the required time frame without damage to material or product.
• Verify and maintain good housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform daily equipment checks.
• Maintain the visual appearance of the vehicles, including cleaning and painting of vehicles when required.
• Ensure that product and/or material is transported in a safe, stable and efficient manner.
• Identify potential or existing non-conforming conditions or material.
• Collect bill of lading and verify quantities on incoming trucks.
• Support and adhere to required, documented and defined procedures and work instructions including, but not limited to: food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE as designated.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
