Job summary

Kenco Group is seeking a Service Technician II to perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts and material handling equipment for customers across sites. You will schedule PMs, perform corrective work, and maintain accurate service records.

The role requires mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, OEM software navigation, and adherence to safety standards. Travel up to ~25% may be required, with a focus on efficient, quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or tech school graduate required.
• 2-4 years of mechanic experience; preferably prior experience with repair and maintenance of forklift and other material handling equipment or similar equipment.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Silver and/or Gold Certification preferred.
• Electrical journeyman certification preferred.
• Electrical and pneumatic experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment.
• Proficiency using email, work order management software, and mobile applications for daily job functions.
• Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, highly responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Supply own mechanic technician hand tools.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Planned Maintenance (PM) of all Forklift Services Equipment.
• Perform corrective repairs and preventive maintenance on MHE, batteries, and forklifts.
• Maintain records of PMs completed and parts used.
• Communicate equipment status and timelines with site managers and operations leaders.
• Aim for 80% technician efficiency or 100% PM completion monthly.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and safety devices for OSHA compliance.
• Understand OSHA regulations as they apply to MHE and field operations.
• Ensure professional interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Keep service area clean and safe at all times.
• Follow 5S methodology in workspace and vehicle or shop areas.
