Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. seeks a skilled maintenance technician to service forklifts and material handling equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and repair components to keep operations running smoothly.

You will inspect equipment for OSHA compliance, rebuild major parts, maintain batteries and chargers, and document all work in the CMMS. Cold storage experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 2+ years forklift maintenance experience or 4+ years general mechanic experience.
• HAZMAT training and certification required.
• Basic computer skills for email, internet searches, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts and material handling equipment electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as masts, undercarriages, transmissions, and engines or motors.
• Inspect equipment to ensure OSHA compliance and operational standards.
• Maintain batteries and chargers in working order according to OSHA standards.
• Test and evaluate equipment performance using appropriate instruments.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records in the CMMS and keep workspace organized.
• Share knowledge and assist in training less experienced technicians.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
