Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years forklift maintenance or 4 years general mechanic experience.
• Completion of technical and mechanical-electrical training required.
• HAZMAT training and certification required.
• Basic computer skills for email, internet, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts and equipment.
• Rebuild or replace major components such as masts, transmissions, engines, and motors.
• Inspect equipment to ensure OSHA compliance and operational standards.
• Maintain batteries and chargers per OSHA standards.
• Test and evaluate equipment using appropriate instruments.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records in CMMS and keep area clean.
• Assist in training less experienced technicians and share knowledge.
• Other duties as necessary.
