Job summary
Kroger Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Riverside, CA facility. You will perform preventive maintenance on lift trucks, diagnose and repair mechanical issues, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
The role requires welding and fabrication skills and the ability to handle various lifting devices within a safe work environment. Responsibilities include electrical repairs, battery maintenance, and operating forklifts and related equipment.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of systems and engine overhauls.
- Read and interpret technical documents, manuals and instructions; equipment maintenance experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions; welding and fabrication skills.
- Operate forklift, electric cart, man lift, basic and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Time management; meet deadlines and productivity expectations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse population.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on lift trucks.
- Repair electrical trucks; weld on equipment as needed.
- Maintain batteries; elevate lift trucks, tuggers, carts and pallet jacks.
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
