Job summary

Qualifications

• Reads work orders or oral instructions.
• Inspects items for identity, quantity and condition.
• Operates forklift or other handling equipment.
• Drives and uses loading tools to prevent shifting during transport.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders to identify materials to move.
• Receives items, inspects for damage and proper handling.
• Opens containers as directed by supervision.
• Loads/unloads materials from pallets using forklift or manual handling.
• Ensures proper labeling and marking of shipments.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs daily safety and equipment checks.
• Operates banding, taping and sealing machinery.
• Contributes improvement ideas for process safety and efficiency.
