Job summary

ProTrans is seeking a Forklift Material Handler to move and manage materials within the facility, docks, and yard. You will operate forklifts, inspect items, and ensure accurate shipping/receiving documentation.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to read English documents. Some centers prefer English/Spanish bilingual skills; safety training is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• GED or high school diploma required; 6 months related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with money, weight, volume and distance.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or instructions to determine materials to move.
• Receive items for shipment and inspect for identity, quantity and condition.
• Load/unload materials using forklift or manual handling equipment.
• Ensure proper labeling, marking and packing for transport.
• Complete receiving/shipping documents per ProTrans specifications.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Perform daily safety and equipment checks.
