Job summary

ProTrans International is seeking a Forklift Material Handler for a Mon-Fri 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm shift. The role involves loading, unloading, and moving materials within a center, cross-dock, trailers, or yard, using forklift and manual handling equipment.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, inspecting items, loading shipments, recording weights, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Attention to safety and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and write English; bilingual English/Spanish is desired.
• Able to use scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to determine items to move.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets using forklift or manual handling equipment.
• Inspects items for identity, quantity and damage and logs conditions as needed.
• Coordinates transportation requirements and gathers data for reports.
• Stacks or bundles materials and prepares shipments per ProTrans specifications.
