Job summary

Lydech Thermal Acoustic Solutions (TAS) is seeking a hands-on material handler to manage scrap, bins, and pallets on the factory floor. You will support production lines by delivering items promptly, tagging reclaimed materials, and ensuring correct labeling of finished goods.

A forklift license and safety-conscious approach are essential. The role requires adherence to pad layouts, proper loading, and the use of Oracle for material moves when needed, with a focus on preventing line stoppages

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Previous line experience with the workflow of all lines.
• Forklift license - must be capable of completing forklift training and pass written test.
• Possess good safety record

Responsibilities

• Empty scrap metal into the correct compactor and tag baled scrap with proper material description and load on SIM’s trailer.
• Maintain foil racks/cores/returnable bins on the returnable pad in correct locations per pad layout.
• Deliver items to lines as needed to prevent line wait time.
• Ensure the correct bins are moved to assigned locations, Kanban, etc.
• Verify finished goods are labeled correctly before moving them off the line.
• Unload returnable bins from YDC trailer as required.
• Weigh and tag all reclaim material with correct metal description; complete manifest; load onto trailer and track weight to stay within limits.
• Refill and change LPG tanks.
• Use Oracle to make material move transactions if required.
• Understand workflow of all production lines; complete safety check at start of shift; report issues promptly.
• Practice safe driving/equipment operating habits; report unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
