Job summary

BD in Tucson is seeking a Material Handler to move materials and finished goods within the plant. You will unload at dock, maintain labeling accuracy, and follow SOPs to ensure quality and safety.

The role requires basic math, English literacy, and forklift certification, with shifts based on operational needs. Responsibilities include maintaining clean shipping/receiving areas, coordinating with teammates, and keeping records.

Qualifications

• Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics).
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• Works independently with minimal guidance.
• Effective communication skills at a level co-worker.
• Minimal required supervision.
• Set priorities among multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, parts, and finished products within the Tucson plant.
• Unloading at dock and proper handling of goods per SOP for carriers delivering Finish Good material.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in shipping and receiving areas.
• May maintain records and ensure correct labeling of products received or processed.
• Adhere to SOPs and quality guidelines; notify Quality Representative and supervisor of quality problems.
• Work safely in accordance with warehouse regulations and BD policies.
• Coordinate work with team members and others; rotate shifts as needed.
