Job summary

Hyson Brecksville is seeking a Material Handler to move materials safely and efficiently from receiving to outbound shipment. You will support production by replenishing lines, staging finished goods, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements include 2+ years in manufacturing or warehouse, forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days, and ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Strong attention to detail and safety are essential, with ERP familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in manufacturing, warehouse, or materials handling.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience with mechanical power tools and powered industrial vehicles.
• Ability to read packing slips and work orders with accuracy.
• Basic math and counting accuracy required.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout shift.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to safe practices.
• Experience in precision manufacturing or machined components preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems preferred.
• Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory preferred.
• Lean/5S exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments; verify against POs and packing slips; inspect for damage.
• Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Replenish production lines and work cells with correct materials.
• Stage and load finished goods for outbound shipment; verify orders.
• Maintain organized storage areas; ensure proper labeling and safety.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
• Complete documentation and system transactions (receiving records, move tickets).
• Operate material handling equipment safely per procedures and OSHA rules.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow 5S standards.
• Notify supervisor of shortages, quality concerns, or equipment issues.
• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE; participate in safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned; adhere to Code of Ethics.
