Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Material Handler – Basic to transport materials within the manufacturing facility using a forklift. You will notify replenishment needs via trigger cards and internal apps, and complete required forklift training to advance.

This role supports Fabrication and works with mentors to improve accuracy and efficiency. Hours are 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ year of material handling experience in manufacturing.
• 1+ year of forklift driving with a safe driving record.
• Ability to operate an electric forklift for indoor and outdoor use.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to determine accurate order quantities.
• Ability to work independently and meet material requests.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer skills to respond to requests via internal applications.
• Basic math to calculate quantities and weights.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move materials to drop-off locations within the facility.
• Use internal systems to identify where materials are needed and confirm quantities.
• Complete forklift certification and any required training hours.
• Review job orders and drawings to determine parts and materials needed.
• Use Oracle ERP to determine quantities and locations.
• Meet targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Follow company policies and procedures and take feedback to improve.
