Job summary

S&C Electric Company is hiring a Material Handler in Chicago, IL. This role supports material flow in a manufacturing setting, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, using Oracle ERP for inventory transactions, and ensuring accurate deliveries to internal departments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of material handling or related manufacturing experience.
• Forklift certification and experience operating Raymond Forklift/Stand-up Forklift/Stand-Up Tugger.
• Experience loading/unloading trucks and moving materials accurately.
• Proficient with tablets, scanners and basic inventory transactions.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial vehicles to move materials within the facility and maintain safety certifications.
• Use Oracle ERP to receive purchase orders, check quantities, locations and history.
• Receive, transfer and deliver items to internal customers and unload/load trucks or trailers.
• Inspect and package materials for shipment, maintain accurate stock levels and participate in continuous improvements.
