Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company in South Holland, IL is seeking a Material Handler associate to safely move products, pallets, and raw materials to and from production lines and shipping areas, using a forklift as required. You will help maintain GMP practices and USDA guidelines, report safety or quality issues, and keep work areas clean and sanitary while supporting continuous production.

Eligible candidates must be 18+, have forklift experience, and be willing to work 40+ hours per week in cold

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to legally work in the United States.
• High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
• 1-2 years related work experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and USDA regulations preferred.
• Must have forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets of products or supplies within the plant using a forklift as needed.
• Scan and deliver component pallets to the line with the use of forklift.
• Weigh combos and place in the cooler as needed.
• Complete necessary forklift maintenance and associated reports to ensure maximum forklift performance and overall plant safety.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations for forklift operations.
• Deliver supplies to the designated department as needed.
• Remove full pallets from packaging lines when completed.
• Scan and wrap completed pallets.
• Deliver pallets to shipping area with the use of forklift.
• Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Identify and resolve issues with material flow or storage locations to prevent delays or production downtime.
