Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a Loader/Unloader for its Des Moines, IA facility. The role involves weighing and processing medical waste containers, forklift operation, and handling heavy loads.

You will work full-time on the 2nd shift (11 AM to 7 PM) with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. Applicants should be comfortable with repetitive lifting (50–75 lb), standing for long periods, and maintaining precise paperwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in labor-intensive jobs with repetitive lifting of 50lbs to 75lb containers.
• Proven longevity with employers.
• Able to lift 55 lbs and push heavy carts or loads.

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge).
• Drive a forklift and operate hand trucks once trained.
• Lifting 55lbs and pushing a four-wheeled cart that weighs up to 200lbs.
• Provide attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Work well with a team because we are all about team work.
