Job summary

WillScot is seeking a Service Technician to inspect, repair, and prepare modular buildings for delivery and ride-out service. You will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC checks, and related tasks in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on quality and safety.

You will operate in the field, handle check-in/out inspections, and communicate clearly with customers while maintaining tools and parts inventory. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment is a must.
• Some knowledge of computers is necessary and good communications skills are required for dealing with customers, sales people, contractors, shop personnel as well as Williams Scotsman employees at various branch locations.
• Must have carpentry knowledge and experience.
• Electrical, plumbing, and welding experience is a plus.
• A current valid driver's license and a clean record are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and perform repairs or readiness work including framing and finish carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and more.
• Perform repairs to mobile office trailers including framing, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and all other facets of modular building repair.
• Perform check-in/out inspections and determine repair scope for invoicing; create floor plan drawings as needed.
• Make modifications as requested by customers and maintain inventory levels of tools/parts.
• Provide courteous customer service and explain repairs to customers; ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates.
• Perform HVAC checks and maintenance; complete paperwork for deliveries and service calls.
