Job summary

Pepper Source is seeking a Forklift Driver for the 1st shift with hours 7:00am-3:30pm. The role requires operating a propane-powered forklift to move, stack and transport materials while maintaining accurate inventory and safety standards. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Pay is $16.00 per hour, with full benefits; prior forklift experience preferred. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate propane forklift and lifting devices to move pallets and materials.
• Position loads and transport to designated areas safely and efficiently.
• Unload, stack, and inventory materials as needed on the floor.
• Weigh and record materials on tags or schedules.
• Complete forklift checklist in the computer system.
• Assist with loading/unloading trailers when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Forklift Driver

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

1st Shift

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Overtime required based on production need.

$16.00/hour

Drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, lift beam and elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties:

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
• Completes forklift checklist in computer.
• Replaces liquefied gas tank.
• May be required to load or unload trailers.

Education and/or Experience

Language Skills
