Job summary

Cardinal Foods is seeking a Forklift Driver to move packaging materials, waste and finished goods. The role involves loading trailers, operating in a freezer, and performing daily safety inspections.

Some outdoor work may be required and duties include maintaining a clean work area and following movement procedures. The ideal candidate has a forklift operator certificate or at least one year of experience, with a strong drive to complete tasks on schedule and a focus on personal safety and team

Responsibilities

Cardinal Foods a domestic Marketer, Manufacturer and Distributor of traditional, specialty and value-added fruit and vegetable ingredients. These products are currently manufactured in North Carolina with a short-term eye on growth in the southeast and then to other concentrated growing areas nationally. Job Description:

The Forklift Driver may be responsible for maneuvering packaging material, waste, finished goods, receiving and loading trailers and handling product in a freezer. The Forklift Driver will also:

• Perform daily forklift pre-inspection and report any non-conformance to maintenance

• Safely transport and document raw material, finished goods, etc., through plant

• Some outdoor work may be required

• Complete other duties as directed by supervisor

• Maintain neat, orderly and clean working environment

• Follow all policies and procedures for product movement

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Current forklift operator certificate or 1 year of previous experience

• Efficient with a drive to get things done

• Ability to meet deadlines while managing/prioritizing multiple tasks

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to easily mount and dismount a forklift multiple times during the course of the day.
