Job summary

Urban Farmer is seeking a Forklift Driver to move goods, load pallets and equipment safely within our facility, and perform warehouse duties such as packaging and inventory checks.

The role requires 18+ years of age, the ability to follow instructions, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to pass certification from Urban Farmer. You will operate forklifts and maintain safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in a food manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to support forklift team.
• Certification from Urban Farmer required.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
• Inspecting for damage to vehicles and equipment.
• Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
• Adhering to safety rules, OSHA requirements, and company policies.
• Quality and GMP, Food Safety, and Plant Safety compliance on shift.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifiedindividualsmustbe atleast18yearsoldtoworkinthefoodmanufacturingenvironment.Abilitytofollowwork instruction and keep pace of shipping department is required.Individual must have thorough understanding of shipping policies and procedures. Effective communication skills are needed to support forklift team.This position requires incumbenttohavekeenattentiontodetailandexperienceworkinginateam-oriented,collaborativeenvironment.Individual will need to pass certification from Urban Farmer. The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.Individual must have good hand/eye coordination and excellent motor skills to operate necessary machinery safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Generally,worksinawarehouseorplantenvironment.Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,theassociatewillbeexposed to moving mechanical parts/product and vehicular traffic.The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures and noises.
