Carolina Container LLC in Hickory, NC seeks an experienced forklift operator to load and unload materials, move stock to machines, and support daily production.

You will inspect forklifts, document safety and production data, and help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while adhering to OSHA standards.

Formación

• Manufacturing experience in corrugated industry preferred.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Knowledge of various material-handling equipment is an asset.
• Prior work experience as a forklift operator preferred.
• Knowledge of product quality specifications.
• Knowledge equipment design and capabilities for efficient operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards.

Responsabilidades

• Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks.
• Operate forklift safely and ensure proper maintenance inspections.
• Locate stock before the start of the run and deliver to machines on time.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely (production data, machine status, safety, quality).
• Maximize equipment utilization and adhere to production schedules; suggest optimizations as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
• Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
• Locate stock before the start of the run.
• Deliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and on time
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
• Adheres to daily production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to - production data, machine operational status, safety data, quality data.
• Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Required to maintain a current Fork Lift Operator License.
