Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, performs tasks such as picking products from aisles, replenishing shelves, moving pallets between locations, and other related duties.
Assists in achieving maximum efficiency and productivity, encourages efficient use of equipment and facilities, and ensures the work group has necessary resources.
Works with the Supervisor and team to develop plans for fulfilling orders according to customer requirements.
Performs quality control inspections of own work and coworkers during operations.
Maintains compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housekeeping practices.
Keeps work area, equipment, and supplies neat and organized, and directs coworkers to do the same.
Interfaces with other departments as needed, building rapport with key organizational units.
Refers unusual conditions or non-routine problems to the Supervisor.
Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas and coordinates with other departments to manage material flow.
Operates industrial trucks or electric hoists for loading or moving materials and products.
Works with planners to distribute workload on the production floor and assists with final QC and departmental backups as needed.
