Qualifications

Schedule: Panama Schedule - 5:45pm-6am

Compensation: $17.50 per hour + .50 shift differential

Essential Functions

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Operate a lift truck continually on shift, proficiently driving backwards and looking in the direction of travel.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
  • Inspect product condition to verify it is free of damage or contamination.
  • Move and place product safely and securely in its proper storage location.
  • Stage product for outbound loads with correct requirements.
  • Remove and empty waste bins into proper receptacles.
  • Move controls to operate lift trucks and transport raw materials, supplies, or finished products within the warehouse or to trailers.
  • Operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loads and secure for transport.
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or platforms.
  • Operate a powered air-supplied respirator for cleaning functions.
  • Maintain housekeeping of department/areas.
  • Ensure reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Follow all safety and security standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

  • Attendance: Punctuality and willingness to work mandatory overtime during busy seasons.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate in writing and verbally in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Mathematics: Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Language: Ability to read and interpret documents and write simple sentences.
  • Diversity: Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Productivity: Maintain or exceed productivity guidelines independently.
  • Paperwork: Complete necessary documentation accurately and neatly.
  • Verification: Verify paperwork and inspect product quality.
  • Organized, accountable, accurate, adaptable, autonomous, and safety-conscious.

Skills & Abilities

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Two years of related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer and hand-held radio skills.
  • Forklift certification preferred; must complete Holman’s forklift certification program.
