Job summary

Central Network Retail Group, LLC is seeking Yard Associates to provide excellent customer service while handling merchandise, loading/unloading trucks, and assisting customers in the yard and at the contractor sales counter. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, stock yard/warehouse, verify quantities from the POS, and assist with deliveries to homes and job sites.

Safety and loss prevention are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required.
• Delivery experience preferred.
• Experience dealing with the public.
• Basic math skills required.
• Reading, writing and speaking skills necessary.
• Knowledge of lumber, building materials, and material handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers or professional contractors upon entry into yard or warehouse.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard and warehouse.
• Assist truck drivers in delivering merchandise to homeowners and job sites.
• Load materials into customers' vehicles or company delivery vehicles after verifying type and quantity from the POS record.
• Develop expertise related to operation of forklifts, warehouse lifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment.
• Unload incoming freight without damage to goods or equipment.
• Build loads and prepare materials for delivery.
• Identify product shortages and report to store management.
• Maintain yard and warehouse in clean, orderly condition.
• Assist cashiers or store personnel with customer needs at the register and at contractor sales counters.
