Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform varied inventory tasks in a refrigerated environment. You will read production schedules and orders to move items, unload and load trucks, and maintain accurate stock using a computer.

The role requires forklift experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and move cases.
• Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment (35-40 degrees).
• Forklift and pallet jack certification required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials on racks or bins.
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated area.
• Maintain organization, rotation of stock, and neatness of coolers and warehouse.
• Fill requisitions and distribute to production workers.
• Pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and loading onto trucks/trailers.
• Check information for accurate shipment; verify bills of lading before shipping/receiving.
• Use computer to scan or enter/maintain inventories.
• Complete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and inventory takes.
• Assist with monthly/year-end inventory counts.
• Monitor materials and equipment and report irregularities to supervisor.
