Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform general warehouse and inventory tasks in a refrigerated environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, picking orders, stocking, and maintaining accuracy in inventory records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and move cases up to 6-8 high.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload stacks and move items as assigned; sort and place materials on racks or bins.
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated area.
• Maintain organization and rotation of stock in coolers and warehouse.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distribute to production workers.
• Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and loading onto trucks/trailers.
• Check information for accurate shipment and ensure product cleanliness and condition before loading.
• Use computer to scan or enter/maintain inventories and records.
• Complete daily pick sheets and cycle counts; assist with monthly/ year-end inventory counts.
• Monitor materials and report irregularities to supervisor.
• Follow GMPs and sanitation requirements; other duties as assigned.
