Continental Corporation in Mount Vernon, IL is seeking a manufacturing associate to operate walkie forklifts, load tires, and monitor presses. You will support production by moving tires, loading thru-loads, and keeping equipment clear of jams in a non-climate controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience needed.
• No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Operate walkie to continually observe presses.
• Move green tire buggies into place when necessary.
• Use hoist to load tires onto loader pans when press is not being loaded by Hirata robot.
• Spray molds when necessary to prevent tires from sticking to them.
• Operate control panel on presses when press needs reset, placed in manual, etc.
• Heavy work; Frequent lifting up to 100 lbs. and occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent reaching and twisting and occasional climbing of stairs/ladders, squatting, and bending.
