Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Material Handler I to perform both physical and administrative tasks in our Salt Lake City facility. Under close supervision, you will move shipments, assist with receiving and storage, and support order fulfillment to ensure timely and accurate output.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and up to two years of related experience, along with forklift certification, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 150 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–2 years related experience.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in written/oral/diagram formats.
• Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipments and direct movement to storage and work areas.
• Verify and record shipments in the Warehouse Management System.
• Gather items for order picking and place into containers.
• Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, and other documents.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas and equipment.
• Replenish stock from reserve locations as needed.
• Operate a forklift; may drive as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
