Job summary

Parr Lumber Company is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load truss packs for drivers and assist other yard staff as needed. The role reports to the Production Manager and interfaces with yard personnel, plant operations, customer service, and truck drivers.

You will handle loading duties, ensure paperwork accuracy, and maintain yard cleanliness while following safety protocols and company policies. This position requires English proficiency and OSHA forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required.
• Interpersonal skills: work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Builds safe and efficient loads by reading load sheets and invoices.
• Loads trucks in delivery order per schedule and regulations.
• Ensures loads match paperwork and are loaded.
• Operates forklift to load/unload building materials.
• Maintains yard cleanliness and safety protocols.
