Job summary

RIX Industries is seeking a Painter/Utility Worker to support prep and painting of compressors and components in our Sparks, NV facility. You will work with the production team to ensure on-time delivery of painted parts, maintain paint logs, and uphold safety standards.

The role requires technical schooling or equivalent, painter qualifications, and a valid driver’s license. Forklift certification is often necessary, and you will be involved in cross-training and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• Painter qualification courses must be passed and maintained.
• Technical school or equivalent education is required.
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to read structural drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to perform calculations such as percentages, ratios and fractions.
• Basic computer skills and adaptability to software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, on-time painting of compressors, generators and parts.
• Coordinate with production supervisor to prioritize work orders.
• Mask, prep, and clean components before painting.
• Maintain paint logs per company policies.
• Adhere to all safety rules and practices.
• Maintain the paint booth and equipment; perform weekly cleanings.
