Job summary

RIX Industries in Sparks, NV is seeking a Production Assembler 2 responsible for installing and assembling compressors, generators, and related components using blueprints and specifications. You will test assemblies, ensure quality, and work with the Production Supervisor to meet scheduling and efficiency goals.

The role requires a technical school degree or equivalent experience, 3–5 years in mechanical assembly, the ability to read drawings, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3–5 years of mechanical assembler or mechanic experience.
• Ability to read structural drawings, schematics, and operating manuals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform calculations such as percentages, ratios, and fractions.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills and operate various software applications.
• Knowledge of air and gas compressors and generators and related tooling.
• Clear communication skills, both oral and written.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or eligible U.S. Person; may require DOD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, on time assembly of compressors, generators, and related parts.
• Assemble compressors and subassemblies per blueprints and specifications.
• Overhaul and repair used compressors or components as needed.
• Control manufacturing expenses and meet labor standards.
• Provide packaging for products prior to shipping.
• Notify supervisor about supplies and tools levels.
• Ensure effective communication within the department and with other functions.
• Adhere to safety policies and practices.
• Maintain facilities and equipment; assist with building maintenance.
• Cross-train within Production; participate in continuous improvement.
