Qualifications

• Degree from technical school or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings and manuals.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to perform basic calculations (percentages, ratios, fractions).
• Ability to learn basic computer skills and adapt to software applications.
• Understanding of air and gas compressors and generators and related tooling.
• Good written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble compressors and subassemblies according to blueprints and specifications.
• Overhaul and repair used compressors or components as required.
• Control manufacturing expenses by proper use of supplies and meeting labor standards.
• Provide packaging for products prior to shipping.
• Notify supervisor of adequate levels of supplies and tools.
• Set up and test-run completed machines; test for noise and vibration.
• Perform other duties as assigned; participate in cross-training.
