Job summary

Roadrunner in Philadelphia, PA is hiring Freight Handlers who will load, unload, tag, and move freight with precision in a fast-paced dock. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, follow safety rules, and collaborate with dock teams to maintain throughput.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months experience, and forklift qualification; hazardous materials training is preferred. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) and PTO; onsite at Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Forklift driver qualification required.
• Hazardous Materials Training preferred.
• Experience in freight, logistics, warehouse, or LTL environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Execute high‑precision freight handling: load, unload, stack, and secure freight with accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists and other equipment safely.
• Maintain dock flow and keep areas clean and organized to ensure throughput.
• Support cross‑functional coordination with operations leadership and dock supervisors.
• Uphold safety, accuracy and performance standards and manage multiple tasks.
