Job summary

Precision Castparts in North Grafton, MA is seeking a seasoned supervisor to lead forge operations and ensure production targets are met with high quality and safety standards.

You will interface with all levels of personnel, manage a union workforce, and drive continuous improvements across manufacturing processes while maintaining strict adherence to WG policies and programs. Shifts include day and night rotation.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in forging or related metal processes.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in Heavy Manufacturing.
• Union shop experience preferred.
• Ability to work a rotational shift schedule, day and night.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensuring consistent quality standards and procedures up and down work chain.
• Drive production through the utilization of the Forge Crew to meet all operation's metrics.
• Manufacturing analysis to reach peak efficiency.
• Manufacturing improvement/refinement review.
• Identifying new opportunities to impact business and operations goals positively.
• Manufacturing directs and coordinates forging plant operations-based policies, objectives, and programs spanning manufacturing functions.
• Manage a union workforce and hold accountable to all WG quality, safety and production procedures.
• Determines performance and product quality and has direct accountability for that performance.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge of forging, mechanical or material science engineering, finance and business administration.
• S./ B.A (engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in Heavy Manufacturing (Steel making, automotive or forging preferred)
• Union shop experience preferred
• Ability to work a rotational shift schedule, day and nights
