Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in forging press setup/operation.
• Comfort reading forge setup sheets and basic blueprints.
• Experience benching dies and using air grinders/hand tools.
• Rotary and slot furnace startup/operation; basic PM familiarity.
• Basic metrology and shop math.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run forging presses: install dies, back plates, and shims per setup sheet.
• Fine-tune ram settings for quality and consistency.
• Operate forge press, trim press and furnaces; ensure safety.
• Measure to print with micrometers/calipers; record results.
• Move materials with forklift; perform routine PM and Lean/CI tasks.
• Follow 5S and safety procedures; assist Supervisor as needed.
