Job summary

CorSource Technology Group seeks a Forestry Technician 3 to support the Chief Forester in Vegetation Management & Forestry. The role covers timber valuation, risk assessment, and development of scopes of work for forestry projects.

Travel is extensive (up to 75% out of town) across WA, OR, ID, MT, NV, CA and WY with some in-office time. Requires aptitude for data collection, GIS tools, and compliance with federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Natural Resources or Environmental planning preferred.
• Experience in forestry and forestry production required; diversified natural resource knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide information tracking of company-owned timber and timber stands.
• Perform data collection on forestry-related metrics (diameter, height, volume, defects, costs).
• Prepare land rights and access road work products such as timber appraisals.
• Draft scopes of work, statements of work and technical specs for forestry projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop work products reflecting project scope.
