Job summary

CorSource Technology Group is seeking a Forestry Technician 3 to support the Chief Forester within the Vegetation Management & Forestry group across the company's service territory.

Responsibilities include data collection, timber appraisals, drafting scopes of work, and coordinating with engineers and managers to deliver compliant forestry projects. Occasional travel and field duties are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Professional forestry practices for cruising, valuation, and forest management.
• Experience with GIS data collection and ArcGIS Online.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Operate forestry data collection equipment (Relascope, GPS, laser rangefinder).

Responsibilities

• Provide information tracking of the company timber and timber stands.
• Collect forestry data such as diameter, height, volume, and related costs.
• Data entry, processing and analysis of field data in databases.
• On-site inspection and oversight of timber and brush removal activity.
• Assist Chief Forester in timber studies and clearance activities.
• Draft scopes of work, statements of work, and technical specs for forestry projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to develop work products.
