Job summary

Cow Creek Band of The Umpqua Tribe of Indians is seeking a Forestry Support Specialist to maintain records, process daily production data and assist with financial tracking from harvest through invoicing. You will provide data management support to forest operations and collaborate with tribal finance staff.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely reporting, and cross-training in log accounting to support audit readiness and compliant forestry operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, business administration, forestry, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of professional data, reporting, or administrative support experience.
• Ability to interpret and verify production and financial data.
• Strong skills in Word, Excel, Adobe and related data systems.

Responsibilities

• Process log and chip sales data and ensure accurate volumes, pricing and terms.
• Reconcile tickets, invoicing, payments and accounts receivable to ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Prepare vouchers, invoices and assist with accounts payable activities with finance.
• Maintain audit-ready records for contracts, sales and financial transactions.
• Support data collection and analysis for forest product sales and purchases.
• Communicate professionally with managers, vendors, contractors and customers.
