Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Crew Leader to supervise a medium to large crew across municipal maintenance projects. You will lead safety‑conscious work, train crews, coordinate equipment, and ensure timely completion of tasks in parks, facilities, water, aviation and other city infrastructure.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience with machinery, and a CDL A or B with a plan to obtain CDL A within probation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of experience with machinery in a large municipality or complex infrastructure; 1 year supervisory preferred.
• CDL Class A with good driving record; CDL B acceptable with plan to obtain A during probation.
• TCEQ license or related certifications may be required; leadership certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes daily work assignments; ensures safety and efficiency.
• Leads, coordinates, and trains crews; delegates tasks on site.
• Manages materials, tools, records, and attendance.
• Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Drives City trucks to transport workers and equipment.
• Responds to citizen inquiries with professional service.
