Job summary

Douglas County Public Works - Work Crew Division is seeking a supervisor to oversee adult offenders performing community service ordered by the court. You will train offenders in forestry and landscaping, maintain order, and keep required records.

The role collaborates with public and non-profit agencies to develop and manage community work projects, and requires strong leadership and safety awareness in a team setting at the Courthouse complex.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of human behavior and program planning for objectives.
• Write clearly; maintain records and statistics.
• Ability to lead a work crew and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision to up to 15 adult offenders; assign tasks and maintain order.
• Provide job-skill training in forestry procedures, landscaping, etc.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports.
