Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field with two years of probation/counseling experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old at date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a caseload of probationers and enforces court-ordered conditions.
• Counsels juveniles and families; conducts assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Arrests, detains and transports probationers as needed and handles intake duties.
• Prepares reports for court and coordinates with law enforcement and social services.
• Provides 24-hour standby support to the Sheriff’s Department regarding juvenile matters.
• Represents the County with integrity in all community relations.
