Job summary

Clear Path Utility Solutions, LLC is seeking a Utility Forester to inspect and manage vegetation within utility ROWs, ensuring reliability and environmental stewardship. You will conduct hazard assessments, coordinate contractors, and collect field data using GIS/GPS.

The role requires fieldwork in varied conditions, strong forestry knowledge, and the ability to work independently while engaging with landowners and clients. Georgia locations offer substantial field opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in utility vegetation management or related operations.
• Experience with forest practices, hazard trees, ROW management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vegetation inspections, tree inventories, and hazard tree assessments along utility corridors.
• Identify, classify, mark, and prescribe vegetation actions per client specs and IVM principles.
• Evaluate tree health, structure, defects, and growth to recommend management actions.
• Assess sensitive areas and habitats, invasive species, and ROW integrity.
• Investigate vegetation outages and document corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate field data including species, measurements, and clearances.
• Prepare patrol routes, maps, and work packages for daily field activities.
• Utilize GIS, GPS, and data apps to manage field data and reports.
• Verify reports and submit inspection, audit, and outage documentation.
• Plan and coordinate vegetation work with contractors; monitor progress.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
