Qualifications

• Associate's degree in forest technology or equivalent education in forestry.
• Applicants may be considered within 3 months of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Boundary marking for timber sales, herbicide areas, and habitat treatments according to forester instructions.
• Timber evaluation: examine trees, mark timber, and compute volume per forester prescriptions.
• Field data collection for stand analysis, sale layout, and related forestry activities.
• GPS mapping: collect data and produce maps for forester approval.
• Maintain tools and equipment used in forest habitat management.
• Perform assigned wildland fire responsibilities.

Education
