Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in forest technology or equivalent forestry education.
• Applicants may be within 3 months of graduation to meet requirements.
• PA residency waiver applies for this title.

Responsibilities

• Boundary marking for timber sales, herbicide areas and habitat treatments.
• Examine trees, mark timber, and compute volumes per forester prescriptions.
• Collect field data for stand analysis and sale layout.
• Collect GPS data and produce maps for forester approval.
• Maintain tools and equipment used in habitat management.
• Perform assigned wildland fire duties.
